Automate your Gmail inbox
Start a workflow whenever a matching email lands in Gmail: read the attachment, create the order, task or ticket, then label the message so everyone knows it is done.

A lot of business still arrives by email: purchase orders, remittances, supplier invoices, customer requests. Spojit's Gmail trigger watches a label in your mailbox and runs a workflow for each new message that matches your filters, with the sender, subject, body and attachments ready to use. AI can read the attachment, the workflow writes to your ERP, store or task board, and the message is labelled once it is handled.
Gmail is a built-in trigger in Spojit. You connect a Gmail or Google Workspace account with Google sign-in, choose the label to watch and add any filters; Spojit checks for new messages and runs the workflow for each match.

What you can automate in Gmail
A purchase order arrives as a PDF attachment
Extract the lines with AI and create the sales order in NetSuite or your store
A customer emails the support address
Classify it, create the ticket or task, and label the email as handled
A remittance advice lands in the accounts inbox
Match it to open invoices and post the payment for review
A supplier sends a price list
Read the spreadsheet and update product costs in your system
Built for real Gmail work
Label-scoped trigger
Watch the inbox or a label your own Gmail filter applies, and narrow it further by sender and subject.
Attachments ready to use
PDF, spreadsheet and image attachments passed to AI and document tools downstream.
Handled means labelled
Mark each processed message as read or add a label, so the inbox shows what is done.
Good to know about connecting Gmail
Spojit polls the mailbox on an interval you choose, from 1 to 60 minutes (2 by default), so a run starts shortly after the email arrives, not at the same instant.
Two filters narrow what runs: a sender allowlist (a whole domain such as @acme.com, or exact addresses) and a subject regular expression. When both are set, both must match.
Marking a message read or labelling it after processing needs a read and modify connection. Choose that scope when you connect if you plan to use those actions.
Gmail labels are not folders: adding a label after processing leaves the message's other labels in place. Let a Gmail filter apply a dedicated label and point the trigger at it to keep the workflow to exactly the mail it is meant for.
Why teams automate Gmail on Spojit
With Spojit
- The Gmail trigger is built in: connect with Google sign-in and pick the label to watch.
- AI reads the attachments, so order forms and invoices in any layout become structured data.
- Durable execution means a slow ERP or a failed step does not lose the email; the run resumes where it stopped.
Gmail automation, answered
Can Spojit send email from Gmail?
Spojit's Gmail connection is a trigger for incoming mail. To send, use the Send Email node or a connected email service such as Resend or SMTP.
Does it work with Google Workspace?
Yes. Any Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox you can sign in to and approve access for.
Can I forward emails instead of connecting a mailbox?
Yes. Spojit's mailhook gives you an address to forward or send mail to, which suits system notifications and vendor emails.
What is possible depends on your plan and authorized Gmail API access. Some endpoints are gated by the vendor or your account tier, so not every workflow is available on every account from day one. You can request a feature or integration any time, and we will get in touch to figure out how to make it work.
