Spojit
Gmail + Power BI integration

Get emailed reports into Power BI

When a scheduled report arrives as a CSV or spreadsheet attachment in Gmail, Spojit reads it and writes the rows to the table your Power BI model reads. When the load finishes, it refreshes the model. You need a Gmail or Google Workspace account you authorize with Google sign-in, plus a Microsoft Entra app registration with access to your Power BI workspace; describe the workflow and Miraxa builds it.

Many systems can only send their data as a scheduled email: a carrier's daily report, a marketplace settlement, a franchise sales file. Spojit watches the Gmail label those emails land in, reads the attachment, loads the rows into a database Power BI reads, and refreshes the model.

What you'll need to connect

Refreshing a semantic model needs a Microsoft Entra app registration with workspace access, plus a database Power BI reads, such as MySQL. Gmail connects with Google sign-in.

Automations you can build

Gmail and Power BI, working together

When

A daily carrier report arrives in Gmail

Spojit does

load the shipments into the reporting table and refresh Power BI

When

A marketplace settlement email lands

Spojit does

load the fees and payouts so finance reports include them

When

A franchise sales file is emailed

Spojit does

load each store's figures next to company-owned sales

When

A report arrives with unexpected columns

Spojit does

hold the load and alert the data team

What you get

Built for how Gmail and Power BI really work

Attachments to rows

CSV and spreadsheet attachments read and written as typed rows.

Format checks

Unexpected columns or empty files stop the load instead of breaking the report.

Refresh after load

The model refreshes once the new rows are in.

The difference

Why teams build this on Spojit

Power BI cannot read attachments out of a Gmail inbox, so emailed reports are downloaded and uploaded by hand. Spojit automates that path with the built-in Gmail trigger, attachment parsing, a landing table and a refresh.

With Spojit

  • Gmail trigger is built in; Power BI is refreshed through its REST API.
  • AI can read reports whose layout changes from week to week.
  • No one has to download and upload a file again.
FAQ

Gmail + Power BI, answered

Which attachment types work?

CSV and spreadsheet files, and PDFs read with AI when the data is in a table.

What if the report format changes?

Spojit checks the columns first and alerts you instead of loading bad data.

Where do the rows go?

Into a database your Power BI model reads, such as MySQL or Snowflake.

What is possible depends on your plan and authorized API access. Some Gmail and Power BI endpoints and capabilities are gated by the vendor (for example, parts of an API may require a higher tier, and write access can require a custom or add-on connection on an eligible plan), so not every workflow is available on every account from day one. You can request a feature or integration any time, and we will get in touch to figure out how to make it work.
