Most teams get Stripe into Power BI by exporting CSVs from the Stripe dashboard or paying for a separate ETL tool. Do I need a data warehouse?
You need a source Power BI can read, such as Snowflake or MySQL. Spojit writes the rows there, and Power BI's own connector for that source does the rest.
Why not push rows straight into Power BI?
Microsoft is retiring push and streaming semantic models: new ones cannot be created after October 31, 2027. Landing rows in a warehouse and refreshing the model is the pattern that lasts.
Can I backfill historical Stripe data?
Yes. Run the same workflow on demand over a date range through the Stripe connector, and the event-ID keys keep it from doubling rows already loaded.
What is possible depends on your plan and authorized API access. Some Stripe and Power BI endpoints and capabilities are gated by the vendor (for example, parts of an API may require a higher tier, and write access can require a custom or add-on connection on an eligible plan), so not every workflow is available on every account from day one.
