The store hash is the short code in your API path, not the store name. It is shown when you create the API account and in the API path BigCommerce gives you.
Give the API account only the scopes the workflows use, such as Orders read-only for an order export. Scopes can be widened later without a new store setup.
BigCommerce has more than one API version for different resources, so some catalog and order calls use different paths. The connector handles the common ones, and the raw API tool reaches the rest.
