Cin7 Core is the product that was DEAR Inventory, and it runs inventory, purchasing and sales for a lot of growing product businesses. Spojit connects it to the stores, marketplaces, 3PLs and finance tools around it, through the Cin7 Core API.

How Spojit connects Cin7 Core

Spojit connects to Cin7 Core through its API with HTTP Requests, sending your account ID and API application key on each call. There is no pre-built tile: Miraxa builds the requests.

What you need
  • A Cin7 Core account
  • An API application: its account ID and application key (Integrations, API)

Integration notes

Good to know about connecting Cin7 Core

Authentication is two headers on every request: api-auth-accountid with your account ID and api-auth-applicationkey with the key of an API application you create in Cin7 Core.

Cin7 Core allows 60 calls per minute per API application and answers with a 503 when the limit is reached, not the more common 429. Workflows pace themselves and treat that 503 as a signal to wait, not as an outage.

Limits apply per API application, so giving Spojit its own application keeps its traffic from competing with your other add-ons.

DEAR became Cin7 Core in January 2023, but the API host and much of the documentation still carry the DEAR name, which trips up anyone searching for Cin7 endpoints.

The difference

Why teams automate Cin7 Core on Spojit

With Spojit

  • Calls are paced to Cin7 Core's 60 per minute limit, and its 503 is treated as a pause, not an outage.
  • Requests are paced to stay inside Cin7 Core's per-application limit, so a big stock sync does not stall.
  • Connects Cin7 Core to systems it has no native link to, through their APIs.
FAQ

Cin7 Core automation, answered

Is Cin7 Core the same as DEAR Inventory?

Yes. DEAR Inventory was renamed Cin7 Core in January 2023, and the same API serves both names.

Will a large sync hit Cin7 Core's rate limit?

Spojit paces requests to stay within the 60 calls per minute Cin7 Core allows each API application, and waits when Cin7 asks it to.

Does this work with Cin7 Omni?

Cin7 Omni is a different product with its own API. Spojit can connect to it too, but the workflow is built against the Omni API.

What is possible depends on your plan and authorized Cin7 Core API access. Some endpoints are gated by the vendor or your account tier, so not every workflow is available on every account from day one. You can request a feature or integration any time, and we will get in touch to figure out how to make it work.
