Spojit
NetSuite + Power BI integration

Connect NetSuite to Power BI

On a schedule, Spojit runs SuiteQL queries in NetSuite and writes the results to the tables your Power BI model reads. When the load finishes, it refreshes the model so finance reports are current. You need a NetSuite integration record with token-based authentication, plus a Microsoft Entra app registration with access to your Power BI workspace; describe the workflow and Miraxa builds it.

Getting NetSuite into Power BI usually means saved-search exports or an ODBC setup with SuiteAnalytics Connect. Spojit takes a simpler route for most reporting: SuiteQL queries through the NetSuite connector, results landed in a database Power BI reads, and a refresh triggered through the Power BI REST API.

What you'll need to connect

Refreshing a semantic model needs a Microsoft Entra app registration with workspace access, plus a database Power BI reads, such as MySQL. NetSuite connects with Token-Based Authentication.

Automations you can build

NetSuite and Power BI, working together

When

Every morning

Spojit does

run SuiteQL for yesterday's transactions and load them into the reporting tables

When

Month end closes

Spojit does

load the final period figures and refresh the board report

When

The load finishes

Spojit does

refresh the Power BI finance model

When

Numbers move outside the expected range

Spojit does

What you get

Built for how NetSuite and Power BI really work

SuiteQL extracts

Exactly the fields reports need, queried under the token's role.

Finance next to everything else

NetSuite data in the same model as sales, marketing and operations.

Refresh on arrival

The model refreshes when data lands, within your capacity's limits.

The difference

Why teams build this on Spojit

NetSuite can feed Power BI through SuiteAnalytics Connect over ODBC, which suits teams with a gateway and the right licence. Spojit is a lighter path for most reporting: SuiteQL through the built-in connector, results landed in a source Power BI reads, and a refresh when data arrives.

With Spojit

  • NetSuite is built in, with SuiteQL for efficient extracts.
  • No ODBC driver or gateway to manage for standard reporting.
  • Alerts when numbers look wrong, not just a refreshed dashboard.
FAQ

NetSuite + Power BI, answered

Do I need SuiteAnalytics Connect?

No. Spojit uses SuiteQL through SuiteTalk REST. SuiteAnalytics Connect is an alternative if you already have it.

Which NetSuite data can be reported?

Anything the token's role can query with SuiteQL: transactions, customers, items and custom records.

Where does the data go?

Into a database your Power BI model reads, such as MySQL or Snowflake.

What is possible depends on your plan and authorized API access. Some NetSuite and Power BI endpoints and capabilities are gated by the vendor (for example, parts of an API may require a higher tier, and write access can require a custom or add-on connection on an eligible plan), so not every workflow is available on every account from day one. You can request a feature or integration any time, and we will get in touch to figure out how to make it work.
