WooCommerce automation

Automate WooCommerce, end to end

Send every WooCommerce order to your ERP, warehouse and carriers, keep stock and products in step, and react to store events through webhooks.

  1. Order processingtrigger
  2. Create ERP orderaction
  3. Book carrieraction
  4. Complete Woo orderaction
  5. Tracking addeddone

WooCommerce gives a store full control, and that usually means the integrations are custom too. Spojit's built-in WooCommerce connector talks to the WooCommerce REST API, and store webhooks start workflows the moment an order changes.

How Spojit connects WooCommerce

WooCommerce is a built-in connector in Spojit, connected with REST API keys (a consumer key and secret) generated in your WordPress admin under WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API.

What you need
  • Your store URL
  • A WooCommerce REST API consumer key and consumer secret with read or read/write permission

Integration notes

Good to know about connecting WooCommerce

REST API keys are created under WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API. Give the key read/write permission only if a workflow updates orders or products.

Older WooCommerce stores used the legacy REST API, which WooCommerce has since removed from core. Spojit uses the current REST API, so a store on an old version may need updating first.

Webhooks are created under WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, Webhooks, and each one is signed with a secret. Use that secret on the Spojit webhook trigger so only your store can start the workflow.

The store must be served over HTTPS for API keys to be accepted the normal way. A plain HTTP store needs a different signing method, which is a common source of 401 errors.

The difference

Why teams automate WooCommerce on Spojit

With Spojit

  • A built-in WooCommerce connector: connect once and use it in any workflow.
  • Signed webhooks start workflows instantly, instead of polling the store.
  • Works with ERPs and carriers that have no WooCommerce plugin, through their APIs.
FAQ

WooCommerce automation, answered

Where do I create WooCommerce API keys?

In WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API, and click Add key. Copy the consumer key and secret when they are shown.

Do I need the WooCommerce legacy API?

No. Spojit uses the current WooCommerce REST API. The legacy API has been removed from WooCommerce core.

Can new orders start a workflow instantly?

Yes. Create a WooCommerce webhook for order events and point it at a Spojit webhook trigger.

What is possible depends on your plan and authorized WooCommerce API access. Some endpoints are gated by the vendor or your account tier, so not every workflow is available on every account from day one. You can request a feature or integration any time, and we will get in touch to figure out how to make it work.
