Scheduled Snowflake reports as PDF
On your schedule, Spojit runs the SQL your admin exposes on Snowflake's managed MCP server, or asks Cortex Analyst a question, and turns the results into a PDF report with a title, a short AI summary and the rows as a table. It emails the PDF or posts it to Slack, with a CSV alongside if you want one.

The workflow, step by step
Run on a schedule
A schedule trigger starts the report daily, weekly or at month end.
Query Snowflake
The workflow runs the registered SQL or asks Cortex Analyst, under the role behind your access token.
Summarize
An AI step writes three or four sentences on what changed, so readers know what matters before they read the table.
Build the PDF
The PDF Tools create-pdf step lays out the title, the summary, key figures and the results as a table that continues across pages with its header repeated, plus page numbers and your footer.
Deliver
The PDF is emailed to the list or posted to a Slack channel, and the results can be attached as a CSV for anyone who wants the raw rows.
Spojit connects to Snowflake through Snowflake's managed MCP server, using a programmatic access token for a user whose role can use the MCP server object. A Snowflake admin creates the MCP server object first; Spojit then lists whatever tools it exposes.
- A Snowflake MCP server object created by your admin (CREATE MCP SERVER)
- A programmatic access token for a user with a role granted USAGE on it
- Your account URL, database, schema and MCP server name
Ways to adapt it
- Send each region or store its own PDF with only its rows.
- Only send the report when a number moves outside its usual range.
- Add your logo to the top of the report as an image block.
- Write the results to Google Sheets or MySQL for other teams as well.
Questions, answered
Can the report be a PDF?
Yes. The create-pdf step builds the report from a title, text, key figures and tables, with page numbers and a footer. Text in Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts is supported; Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters are not yet.
Who can see the data?
Queries run under the Snowflake role behind your access token, so the report only contains what that role can read.
Do I need to write SQL?
Not if your admin sets up Cortex Analyst: you can ask the question in plain English.
