ShipStation allows 40 requests per minute per API key, so large backfills and bulk label runs are paced rather than fired all at once.
Voiding a label is a separate call from cancelling an order. Cancel without voiding and the label stays bought, so cancellation workflows do both.
Orders created through the API need a unique order key per source system, or the same order arriving twice becomes two ShipStation orders.
