Spojit
Shopify + Power BI integration

Connect Shopify to Power BI

When Shopify orders are created or refunded, Spojit writes them as rows to the table your Power BI model reads. When the day's data is in, it refreshes the model so dashboards are current. You need a Shopify custom app access token, plus a Microsoft Entra app registration with access to your Power BI workspace; describe the workflow and Miraxa builds it.

Shopify Analytics covers the store, but finance and operations report in Power BI alongside the ERP and other channels. Spojit uses the Shopify webhook trigger and connector to land orders, line items, refunds, products and customers in a database Power BI already reads, then refreshes the model through the Power BI REST API.

What you'll need to connect

Refreshing a semantic model needs a Microsoft Entra app registration with access to the workspace, plus a database Power BI reads, such as MySQL. Shopify connects with a custom app's Admin API token.

The difference

Why teams build this on Spojit

Most teams get Shopify into Power BI with CSV exports or a separate ETL tool. Spojit lands Shopify data in a source Power BI already connects to, such as MySQL or Snowflake, and refreshes the model, without push datasets.

With Spojit

  • Shopify connector and webhook trigger are built in.
  • Upserts on order ID make every load safe to re-run.
  • Billed by execution time, not per order or row.
FAQ

Shopify + Power BI, answered

How does Shopify data reach Power BI?

Spojit lands Shopify data in a source Power BI reads, such as MySQL, then refreshes the model.

Can it backfill past orders?

Yes. Run the workflow over a date range and upserts prevent duplicates.

Which Shopify data can be reported?

Orders, line items, refunds, products, collections and customers.

What is possible depends on your plan and authorized API access. Some Shopify and Power BI endpoints and capabilities are gated by the vendor (for example, parts of an API may require a higher tier, and write access can require a custom or add-on connection on an eligible plan), so not every workflow is available on every account from day one. You can request a feature or integration any time, and we will get in touch to figure out how to make it work.
